Wendell Barnett
ANNOUNCEMENT OF RETIREMENT:
Mr. Doyle Wendell Barnett has retired from the practice of law. It is with mixed emotions that we announce the official retirement of our partner from the practice of law and the firm effective December 1, 2019. As one of the founders of the firm, he will be much missed as a valued partner. Although we will all miss having Wendell around the offices, he has well-earned the opportunity to devote more time to his wife and family.
Mr. Barnett was admitted to the practice of law in 1969, and he started his law practice in Lubbock, Texas soon thereafter. He moved his practice to the Dallas area in 1988, and he continued to see clients all over the state during his 50 year career. His attention to our clients and their estate planning, taxation, and business entities support was very well received. In recognition of the scope and stature of his expertise, his career has included both statewide and national recognition and honors such as being quoted in Wall Street Journal, articles in Texas Lawyers Magazine, and being an AAV-Preeminent@ rating with Martindale-Hubbell pier reviews.
Wendell asked that we now make this announcement because he became concerned that his initial choice of no publicity might be leaving his former clients without adequate information as to whom he recommends they refer any questions about their files. Accordingly, he asks any interested person to contact his partner of 20 years, Brian J. Hall of this firm, and he believes that this transition will be a seamless transfer of supportive needs.
